My Top 5 Role Models Of 2017


This time around it doesn’t take long for new gadgets get introduces in our world.
Young women are obsessed by social media, trying to look just like the pictures.
Diets, working out and for some of those it takes plastic surgery to look just like their idol.
Sometimes we forget that we don’t have to be picture perfect, that it is okey to have marks or imperfections.

It’s now 2017 and over the past decade women’s status in society has changed dramatically.
There are a lot of role models including females. People we can learn from and that are making a change.
Here is a list of my Female Rolemodels and one man? Who inspire me everyday.

Emma Watson

While we are still really excited to see Emma als Belle in Beauty&The Beast, shiver after a wonderful speech at the MTV movie awards, she is also an influential role model. Campaigning for women’s educational rights.
In 2014, she was appointed UN Women Goodwill Ambassador and still holds that position today, promoting fair trade, empowerment for women and gender equality.

From being bullied during her education at the Ivy League institution to where she stands today. Emma, you totally deserves a place in this list!

Ellen Degeneres

I don’t think I have to explain who this legendary woman is.
Ellen Degeneres, one of the most loving persons in the entire world. Risking her career for doing the most brave thing 20 years ago, outing herself in public.

Again and again, Ellen DeGeneres has shown us that a single individual of the world can make a more pleasant, open and loving place, as long as we stay floating.
Receiving the ‘US Presidential Medal of Freedom’ in 2016, grateful for all the things she does.  Like Ellen says: “Keep on swimming”.

Ashley Graham

It didn’t take long before Ashley was worldwide news, a name that was known by everyone.
Ashley made history by being the first plus model to feature on the front page of Sports Illustrated Swimsuit edition.
Since then, she has been breaking boundaries in the modelling industry. From walking in the Paris Fashion Week to being a guest at the White House Correspondents Dinner. Ashley is positively challenging the perceptions of body image in the 21st century and we cannot wait to follow her journey this year.



This list wouldn’t be the same if Beyoncé won’t be in it!
Through her music she has managed to explore issues of racism, feminism and monogamy. She represents empowerment for women, promotes positive body image and also has her own charity campaign “Beygood”.

Kendrick Lamar

Kendrick Lamar, the Tupac of 2017. Grammy-nominated, platinum-selling rapper Kendrick Lamar is one of the rare artists who has achieved critical and commercial success while earning the respect and support of those who inspired him.
His song Freedom with Beyonce, his political statement during his performance at Grammys and his new song DNA take us back to wear music was all about.

A really inspire person that is sure worth it to follow and to receive a mention in this Role Model list.
