That feeling you have after late nights, early mornings, the struggle to get ready on time.
I know exactly how it feels. Arriving late is never a good feeling and I’m one of those types who’s guilty of stretching the time limit, also knowing my snooze button like no other.
However, with work, styling project and social events I had to find a good balance, so through the years I’ve learned to condition myself better at it.
‘If you start your morning in a time rush, it will define your whole day’.
I don’t like to compromise my sleep, so I only can adjust my morning routine, and it definitely works. Here are a couple of my tips that will help you out organizing your day.
1. STOP USING THE SNOOZE BUTTON
This is more a statement If you have a rough time getting up early, make sure you go to bed on time and set your alarm every day on the same time, your body will get used to it what makes it easier in time.
Plus you just have to bite the dust, once your alarm is going of get yourself out of bed.
2. USE YOUR GO-TO ITEMS
As a stylist and fashion blogger you always think about the way you look. Like any other woman I have days that I have issues with getting myself dressed. That’s why I have a couple of items that I can fall back on, where I feel good and confident in. Timeless pieces that work for every occasion.
3. PREPARE YOUR ITEMS THE NIGHT BEFORE
When you know what the purpose of the next day is, make sure to organize your outfit before you go to bed. Pick your look and steam the items when necessary.
It really helps but for me personally it doesn’t work because I dress myself by how I feel. So I pick 2 looks and a couple of basics the night before and hang them together, so I can choose right away in the morning.
4. MULTI TASK PRODUCTS AND BASIC MAKE-UP, AND GO!
What I mean with multi task products is, use products as dry shampoo and good moisturizers. Products that have multiple purposes, it will save your time if you have less than 15 minutes.
Having a good make-up look is everything, sometimes it finishes your look but when you are in a rush, keep your make-up basic. Use a creamy concealer for coverage, blush for some color and mascara.
When you don’t want to go out of the house without your eyebrows in shape, you can use a gel. This will give your brows the shape you want.
While on your way, tap your lips with a gloss or lip care.
— Red lips always work
— If you look tired use your highlighter and apply it in the inner corner of your eyes
5. HAIR TOOLS
Get to know your hair and what works for you.
Use hot tools; you have the irons that spins which makes the work easier and done in less than 10 minutes. Having a bad hair day? Pin your hair with some bobby pins in a low bun.
Remember, salt spray or dry shampoo helps the process.
